Your privacy is protected under Australian Law by the Commonwealth Privacy Act 1988 (“CPA88”). This Privacy Act details how Scenic 4×4 manages your personal information in order to protect your privacy.
What personal data we collect and why we collect it
General
Scenic 4×4 is required to hold information for the purpose of conducting business with you in line with the CPA88, and will only collect and hold your information on the use of the Scenic 4×4 web page, and associated documents or forms for the purpose of conducting business and business research (I.E. the amount of time Scenic 4×4 web pages are accessed, including the time and date these web pages are accessed). Scenic 4×4 does not hold or store any personally identifiable information for any purpose of providing said information to any third party, with the exception of any Government or Law Enforcement body when required to provide information directly that may be required due to suspicion of any offences that may have been committed, or resulting or pending investigations.
Client Details
Scenic 4×4 holds information provided by you when completing forms for the purpose of utilizing the services of Scenic 4×4 (I.E. applying to attend a Tour) for use when identifying you and practicing business with you directly, documenting potential hazards and risks while operating business, and the act of conducting business. Scenic 4×4 does not and will not disclose any of this information to any third party, advertiser, or any other form of individual or business unless required by Government or Law Enforcement body for the purpose of an investigation, or for the purpose of conducting business (I.E. making accommodation bookings on Tours). The type of information that Scenic 4×4 collects may include your name, address, phone number, email address and credit or debit card details.
Comments
When visitors leave comments on the site we collect the data shown in the comments form, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection.
Gravatar is the standard WordPress service for managing user profiles and their profile picture, but no personal information relating to your business relationship with Scenic 4×4 is transferred. An anonymized string created from your email address (also called a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service to see if you are using it. The Gravatar service privacy policy is available here: https://automattic.com/privacy/. After approval of your comment, your profile picture is visible to the public in the context of your comment.
Forms
All data transferred through forms on the Scenic 4×4 website go directly to Scenic 4×4 email accounts or are stored on this website’s server. No contact information is relayed to third parties.
Cookies
If you leave a comment on our site you may opt-in to saving your name, email address and website in cookies. These are for your convenience so that you do not have to fill in your details again when you leave another comment. These cookies will last for one year.

Visitor comments and reviews may be checked through an automated spam detection service.
How Long Do We retain Your Data
Website Visitors
If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognize and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.
For users that register on our website (if any), we also store the personal information they provide in their user profile. All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except they cannot change their username). Website administrators can also see and edit that information.
What Rights Do You Have Over Your Data
If you have an account on this site, or have left comments, you can request to receive an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, including any data you have provided to us. You can also request that we erase any personal data we hold about you. This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.
