Scenic 4×4 and its operators understand that circumstances can and do change, and there are numerous factors that can effect both your ability to attend, and Scenic 4×4’s ability to operate a tour. Below is a list of our Terms and Conditions associated with these circumstances.
Definitions
- Scenic 4×4 (ABN: 45 116 137 120) of 6 Berkeley Court, Kirwan QLD 4817, includes “Scenic 4×4”, “the Business”, “the Tour Operator/s”, “Operator/s” and “Tour Guide”.
- The “Tour” refers to the trip to be taken.
- “The Guest”, “you”, “them”, “themselves” refers to the purchaser and/or attendee of the Tour”.
Changes to Itinerary
- Scenic 4×4 and its operators endeavour to ensure that our tours operate according to the planned schedule/itinerary, however, weather, flooding, pandemics, road conditions and area closures can affect the operation of our tours. This may require Scenic 4×4 to change or amend a tour with little to no notice. As these factors are out of the control of Scenic 4×4, no compensation will be offered.
- Scenic 4×4 reserves the right to change the route or itinerary of a tour, insofar as reasonably practical, if necessary.

Third Party Services
Scenic 4×4 and its operators are not responsible and will not be held liable any failure for your connection to any other services associated with your attendance with any of our tours. Scenic 4×4 and its operators will not be held responsible or liable for any issues, claims, complaints or loss associated with any service or failure to provide a service, by any accommodation providers, travel companies or partners, other transportation or supplier on Scenic 4×4 tours. We endeavour to ensure that we safeguard our guests and their belongings on our tours, but we will not be held liable for any loss, damage or personal injury due to events beyond the control of Scenic 4×4 or its operators.
Damage and Theft
Scenic 4×4 and its employees/operators will not be held liable or responsible for the management or loss of guests’ personal effects, vehicle operation or security, goods, valuables and any other belongings (“Effects”). Guests are reminded to secure their Effects whilst on a tour. Scenic 4×4 and its employees/operators accept no responsibility or liability for any act of omission (inside or outside of their control) whatsoever, for any tour which may result in any theft, damage, detention, confiscation by law enforcement, or loss in regard to guests Effects. Scenic 4×4 and is employees/operators will be exempt from liability, be it direct or indirect, for any additional expenses, delays, inconveniences, cancellations, changes to itineraries or services, acts of God, strikes or weather events, pandemics or other, caused by whoever, however, whatsoever.

Force Majeure
Due to factors out of our control (such as weather, pandemic, road or park closures, flooding, government/state border closures, severe tour leader debilitation/incident/injury/illness, etc), we may be required to cancel or postpone a Tour.
- Within 48 hours of a tour departure time, payments made to the total tour cost will be retained by Scenic 4×4 with the Guest given the option to attend a revised tour or one at a later date.
- Cancellations between 48 hours and 7 days of a tour departure time will offer a refund of 50% of tour value, with the Guest given the option to attend a tour at a later date.
- In cases of a cancellation 7 days or more prior to a tour departure time, 25% of the total tour cost will be retained by Scenic 4×4 if the Guest indicates they wish to attend a tour at a later date, or a full 100% refund otherwise.
Minimum Guests
Scenic 4×4 tours require a minimum amount of guests to ensure we remain a secure and stable tour operator. In the event that our minimum vehicle numbers have not been met for any particular tour, we will notify you as soon as possible and offer a full refund if required, or alternatively, we can offer to move your tour to a different date or tour to suit should you wish. All children must be accompanied by an adult at all times on tours.
Other Factors
- If Scenic 4×4 deems the guest to likely increase risk of injury to its staff, equipment, themselves or other guests beyond a point of which is in our control, the guest will be excused from the tour and no refund shall be given.
- In all other cases, we will negotiate with the guest on the best course of action and any refunds payable should a tour be cancelled or postponed by Scenic 4×4.
By The Guest
- Cancellation requests received more than 30 days from the Departure Date will be refunded 100% of the payments made, and all upcoming payment dates will be voided.
- Cancellation requests more than 14 days from the Departure Date will incur a 25% Administration fee off the total tour cost. In most cases, this will be equal to the deposit payment, made.
- Cancellation requests made 14 days or less from the tour’s Departure Date will incur charges amounting to 100% of the tour cost.
